Plastic bags get the boot!
So maybe you haven't heard- but plastic bags have been banned in LA! So starts the transition period to have people bring their own bags to stores. Envirosax makes some very cute and very durable bags- the grocery bags I believe hold up to 44 pounds! And Target takes 5 cents off your purchase for every bag you bring in. Not a lot but a nice discount for not creating any waste. So start saving done bags- you're gong to need them!

My bag of crap
Earlier this year, I wanted to use everything in my medicine cabinet before I bought more things. Why? Because I wanted to eliminate clutter from my life. What I found out was unsettling. I began to look into the ingredients that some of my products were made with, and it started to scare me a bit. So now, I'm throwing these out- unless of course, the packaging can be recycled. I can't believe how long it took me to really read the labels and actually look up what these ingredients really are!

Going through the medicine cabinet....
Earlier this year, I didn't want to buy any more products until I had finished using what I already owned. That isn't work out so well- I ended up buying stuff. But here is one that I hope none of you waste your money on- Nivea's good-bye cellulite gel. It made my dimples a little softer. But they were still there. Better off going on a walk and drinking water. To top it off, it's not even recyclable packaging!

Baby bottles
Glass bottles anyone?? Does anyone notice that most baby bottles say "bpa free" or "no PVC." I decided to look up what this stuff meant and it looks like they are chemicals that certain plastics give off. This isn't true of glass bottles. After doing a bit of research, glass bottles are actually a better alternative to plastic because you don't get any harmful toxins and the milk retains airs normal taste. The only issue of course is breakage. They make silicone cover to make the bottles less likely to break. I will be trying these from evenflo- at 6 bucks for a package of 3, you can't beat it! well see how it goes!

Baby stuff...
I was doing some research and I stumbled upon this company. I was interested so I ordered a trial pack. The company's name is the honest company. They make baby safe toiletries and home cleaning supplies. Their biggest draw is the biodegradable diapers and wipes. You can't buy it in stores yet, but you can have it ordered to your home. Can't wait to try this out!
